Weekend Recap

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend! Starting a new series called Weekend Recap where I can share the fun (and sometimes crazy) details of the weekend. This past weekend we had a laid back Friday evening and got some take out from our church's fish fry. Saturday we hit up the local botanical gardens, Lauritzen Gardens. Before having kids, Aaron and I used to enjoy walking around the gardens and we love taking the kids there now. The kids seriously load their pockets with change before coming so they can toss their money into the different fountains. Harper is starting to enjoy our trips there more and more and had a lot of fun trying to escape and run off!

I came downstairs to see this adorable cuddle session post nap. I feel so lucky to have a husband who loves our babies as much as I do. I need to post an update on Aaron and his health...it isn't something I love to talk about and have been putting it off :(  It has been good news as of recently, but that fear never ever goes away. I seriously soak up these moments.

We uncorked a bottle from our trip to Napa this past fall! It was soooo good and makes me want to plan another trip soon!

Date night!! Aaron and I took the evening to go do some clothes shopping for the kids and then out to dinner. This amazing salad was almost too pretty to eat!!

Sunday was pretty relaxing :)

Elle had a fun birthday party at a dance studio.

Our basement update is coming along! The basement was painted on Sunday and it is amazing what a difference the new paint makes. It feels soooo much brighter and bigger down there now. The color is Revere Pewter from Benjamin Moore. I will post some pics once the update is complete!

Since we had some extra paint and our painter was super reasonable, we decided to paint the master bath as well :)

On Sunday night, my best friend and I snuck away to see Newsies at the Orpheum Theater! The show was great and I was so impressed by the dancing! Anytime we can sneak away and have a glass of wine is appreciated and it was all the more fun to get to go to this great show at such a beautiful theater.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!
XO, Brooke
