5 Candy-Free Easter Basket Ideas

Easter is quickly approaching - didn't I just say that about Christmas?! I haven't gotten anything for the kids' Easter baskets yet! While the Easter Bunny will be bringing lots of eggs filled with sweet treats, I try to keep their Easter basket loaded with practical things that they will need in the spring and summer.

1. Swimwear - Swimwear is a staple in our Easter baskets. I usually get each kid a couple swim suits for the summer (because I can't stand washing them each day). Also, think towels, goggles, wraps, hats, or anything else pool/beach related!

2. Garden Gear - My kids adore gardening. Having their own sized tools helps make them interested. There are also a lot of cute kid gardening kits that may be fun for beginners gardens.

3. Outdoor Fun - Get ready to attack summer boredom with lots of outside toys to entertain. I replace things like sidewalk chalk and bubbles each year and the Easter basket is the perfect place for these items.

4. Summer Shoes - For toddlers, Keens are a must. I am sad my older two are graduating on to flip flops! For flip flops, you can't beat Old Navy prices. For Keens, I turn to Zappos for free-shipping and easy returns if you get the wrong size!

5. Misc Needs - Similar to stocking stuffers, I tend to add things that they need to the basket. Kids need new underwear and a new toothbrush? Throw it in the basket! My kids always need new water bottles, so those are going in there this year!

Hope this gives you some great ideas!!
