Favorite Chili Recipe

So many of you had questions on my chili recipe from this weekend! This is the best time of year for chili and I have a great recipe that you will LOVE. I can't take complete credit for it - Aaron is the one who perfected this recipe over the years ;) Also, I use a starter sauce - which some chili lovers consider cheating. I call it tasty ;) I hope you enjoy the recipe!

2 lb of ground beef
1 yellow onion
1/2 green pepper
2 jars of Tabasco Chili Starter - we use original
2 cans (16oz) of chili beans in chili sauce - we use Mrs.Grimes mild
2 cans (14oz) of diced tomatoes
1 can (4oz)  mushrooms - I will sometimes add 2!
Chili powder
Salt & Pepper

-Brown hamburger with diced onion and green pepper
-Drain and add 2 jars of starter and 1 jar of water (1 will add 1/2 jar of water to each and shake jar to get extra off the jar)
-Add chili beans and tomatoes - do not drain cans
-Drain mushrooms and add
-Chili pepper, cumin, salt & pepper to taste!

I love to garnish mine with excessive amounts of cheese and saltine crackers. Aaron loves to top his with sour cream and fresh jalapeños. I usually serve with grilled cheese or the midwest tradition, cinnamon rolls!

I hope you enjoy!
