Like most of us, I often find shopping online much easier. It can be a lot of work to haul my family (or just myself) out to the busy stores. But when I look back on my childhood, I remember having so much fun seeing the beautifully decorated stores and all of the people out shopping with their packages. I want my kids to have some memories of that as well. Plus there are so many great local business that aren't online! We hit up a couple local nurseries this past weekend - they are some of my favorite local places to shop. Nurseries and greenhouses are always so beautiful this time of year - a great place for holiday pictures!! While we were there, we snagged up some hostess gifts for friends!
I love taking the kids to these local businesses. It is important to me that they not only create these memories, but that we also support our local community. I am proud that our bank, First National Bank, also puts such a high value on giving back to our community. In their We Grow as One initiative, they show just how important they are to helping our local businesses and economy grow.
Are their any fun local businesses you have discovered this season?!

XO, Brooke
