Spring Trends With Gramercy and Garment District

Spring is finally here and I am bringing you some of the top trends for the season with two of my favorite local shops, Gramercy and Garment District! These two boutiques carry styles and brands you will not find anywhere else in Omaha. In addition to classic and fashion-forward clothing, they carry shoes, accessories, and handbags. All of the looks in this post can be found at Gramercy and/or The Garment District!

 - Tie Front Shirts - You are seeing tie front blouses everywhere this spring! Similar to the front tuck trend, the tie gives a flattering detail to the bottom of the shirt.

- Wedge Sandals - You will need at least one pair of wedge espadrilles sandals in your closet this spring! While these sandals are often thought of as summer shoes, they are actually a great transition piece to take you from spring into summer. They elongate your legs and look great with jeans!

- Cut outs - Similar to the classic eyelet pattern, you are seeing lots of beautiful cut-out details on shirts this spring. This beautiful blouse was one of my favorites!!

- Shoulder & Sleeve Detail - The off the shoulder trend is still going strong this season! This blouse combines another fun trend with its bell sleeves. I love this blouse dressed down a little with denim or dressed up with some black ponte pants and heels!

- Ruffles - Ruffles have always been one of my favorite details and I am glad this trend is going strong again this season. Look for fresh updates like this across-the-body ruffle. I also adore anything striped, so this blouse is perfect!

- Day to Evening Jacket - This jacket is probably my favorite item at Gramercy and Garment District right now!! It is even more gorgeous in person and I love the ability to take it from day to night. I paired it with some light denim (also another spring trend) and simple, nude heels.

- Long Cardigan - Graphic T-shirt - Again, combining a couple of spring trends here. First, the long cardigan is great to layer over loungewear or activewear or add as an outerwear piece to your spring look. Second, you are seeing graphic t-shirts everywhere. Gramercy and Garment District have some really cute graphic t-shirts!

- Feminine Cuts - Look for lots of beautiful dresses this spring! I adore the feminine cut and slight flare at the bottom of this dress. Statement earrings continue to be an important detail and the paper fan earrings paired with this dress are stunning!!

Gramercy and Garment District are both owned by local fashion expert Stacie Mausbach. I count on my friend Stacie to not only carry the top trends, but to also help me with my selections when shopping. There is something pretty great about shopping local - especially when you are supporting other hard-working women! In addition to local shoppers supporting these small businesses, First National Bank of Omaha has proudly supported Gramercy and Garment District boutiques for the past 15 years.

What are some of your favorite spring trends?
XO, Brooke
