Garland – Paper Fox LA Banner & Cake Topper – Little Dovie Crown – Little Blue Olive Dress & Bib – Mud Pie Invites – Tiny Prints
It is our sweet Harper’s first birthday on Saturday. We celebrated her birthday a couple weeks ago on a Saturday morning and today I am sharing the adorable details of her party!!
We did not have a theme, per se, and went with a gold, pink and white color scheme. Her garland is from Paper Fox LA – an adorable shop with the most awesome, custom garlands. I love these garlands so much…I think I may need to order a holiday one! Her Happy Birthday banner is from Little Dovie. You will find all sorts of different custom banners at this shop. Not only can you choose the wording, but also the colors of the attached poms. I purposely did not put Harper’s name on the banner in hopes that I can re-use it for the other 2 in the future. The cake topper was also from Little Dovie – this was one of my favorite parts of the party!
For treats, we did pink and white frosted donuts and pink and white cupcakes. I always use my local grocery bakery for my cupcakes. I will take in a drawing of the different styles I would like (and yes, they sometimes think I am crazy) and they are always able to produce exactly what I envisioned! We also served fruit and a breakfast casserole to balance out all those sweets! For the adults, we also had a Bloody Mary bar, mimosas and coffee.
Because there would be so many older kids at the party, we wanted to offer entertainment for them and hired a face painter and bounce house. The face painter was amazing and the hit of the party!! I had never hired one before and will definitely do again.
Harper’s dress was so perfect! I found it at a local boutique and it is from Mud Pie – they have some adorable, over the top things for babies and kids. Her amazing crown is from Little Blue Olive. The best part of this crown (aside from it being one of the cutest things she has ever worn) was its soft lining on the bottom – she wore it the entire party! I love having this as a little keepsake from her party.
We are so lucky to have so many wonderful people who love Harper and wanted to help celebrate her first birthday. I have such mixed emotions about her turning one. She is our miracle baby that we were not sure we would ever have. We could not be more in love with her and her siblings feel the same way. In a way, I wish I could keep her our sweet little baby forever…but love seeing the darling little girl she is becoming. Now I am going to go snuggle her 🙂
